Pappery Terms of Service.
Effective July 17, 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Hilum Labs for use of Pappery. Mandatory protections in your place of residence still apply.

1. Eligibility and account
You must be able to enter this agreement and be at least 16 or the local age of digital consent. Provide accurate information, protect credentials and MFA devices, and report suspected unauthorized access.
You are responsible for account activity. We may require acceptance of the current terms and privacy notice before activating a session.

2. Service and backups
Pappery provides browser design, document storage, asset management, and export. We may improve, replace, or retire features, with reasonable notice when a change materially reduces paid functionality.
The service is not an independent backup. Keep .ppry copies of important work.

3. Your content
You retain ownership of content you import or create. You grant Hilum Labs a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, transmit, and display it only to operate, secure, support, and improve the service.
You represent that you have the required rights. The license ends on deletion, subject to backups, legal duties, and technical erasure periods.

4. Acceptable use
Do not violate law or third-party rights; distribute malware; abuse, probe, or disrupt systems; bypass plan limits; automate undocumented access; impersonate others; or facilitate fraud, exploitation, or violence.
We may suspend access to prevent harm, comply with law, or investigate a material violation, with notice when reasonably possible.

5. Plans, payments, and cancellation
Free and Pro limits appear on pricing and before payment. Subscriptions renew until canceled. Polar is merchant of record and processes payment, invoices, tax, and refunds under its terms.
When Pro ends, the account moves to Free and existing content remains. Subscription expiry alone never deletes data.

6. Third-party services and software
Pappery relies on providers such as AWS and Polar and may offer optional integrations. Their services or content may have separate terms.
Open-source components retain their own licenses and notices.

7. Warranties and liability
To the extent allowed by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted operation, identical output across printers, or template suitability for legal or professional use.
Neither party is liable for indirect, special, consequential, or punitive damage. Hilum Labs' aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of USD 100 and what you paid for Pappery in the prior 12 months, except where law forbids the limit.

8. Termination, changes, and contact
You may stop using the service or delete your account. We may terminate for material breach, legal duty, security risk, or prolonged inactivity, with notice when reasonably possible.
We will publish a new version and notify material changes when required. Questions and legal notices may be sent through support or to support@pappery.com.
